Week of Respect
The Week of Respect is a significant initiative in New Jersey schools, designed to foster a positive school climate and promote respect among students. It is rooted in the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, which emphasizes the importance of social and emotional learning (SEL) and the prevention of harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB). The week provides an opportunity for school districts to recognize the need for age-appropriate instruction focused on HIB prevention and to support the School Safety/School Climate Team in maintaining a positive school environment.
